What to try
Paste a redacted request dump (headers + first ~30 JSON keys, no secrets) if you want to confirm whether it’s OpenAI-shaped-but-slightly-off vs a completely custom RPC. |

Thank you for the detailed pointers.
For context, I’m using both Command Code and Headroom through 9router. Could you confirm whether 9router is known to affect request shapes or headers, and what you suggest as the next step?
Thanks in advance.

[HEADROOM] skipped: unsupported commandcode request shape is Headroom telling you it does not speak Command Code’s HTTP schema.
headroom wrap has first-class paths for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor (manual), etc. Command Code is not in that set, so the proxy sees a body it cannot map to Anthropic/OpenAI messages and skips (no compression, sometimes no forward).
What to try
1. If Command Code can use an OpenAI-compatible base URL, skip wrap commandcode and do:
headroom proxy --port 8787
1. Then set Command Code’s API base to http://127.0.0.1:8787/v1 (and a dummy/real key as that client requires).
2. If it only talks its own protocol, Headroom cannot sit in the middle until they add a translator. Use MCP / compress() on large tool results instead of a transparent proxy.
3. Double-check you didn’t wrap the wrong binary (some “commandcode” CLIs are forks/wrappers that already send a custom envelope).
Paste a redacted request dump (headers + first ~30 JSON keys, no secrets) if you want to confirm whether it’s OpenAI-shaped-but-slightly-off vs a completely custom RPC.
