Playback gets stuck at exactly 9 seconds, for any song. Can't play past that

EndeavourOS. Nothing special about my system. The playback plugin is youtube v 0.1.2

[olegedly]

Playback error: Streaming service returned error: 403 Forbidden
Streaming service returned: 403 Forbidden

Update: not quite every song, but many. And also for the failing songs if I navigate further in the track, it plays. But if starting from the beginning, get stuck at 9 seconds

Then when playing from the middle, can still get stuck randomly

Hi, thanks for reporting. A number of people reprted the same bug on Discord. I just pushed a fix, please let Nuclear auto-update and let me know if it's gone.

That's what I'm working on right now. This lies at the intersection of Webkit, gstreamer, pulseaudio, and Tauri. I think I found the exact cause and will likely release a fix today.

Sounds amazing. Thank you so much 😇

[olegedly]

And in the old player we used to be able to download tracks? Not doing this because of liability? Can we at least get youtube URLs for the underlying tracks being played?

[nukeop]

This is more of a business decision, I don't want to add stuff to Nuclear that will be a timesink and a maintenance burden, and there are already programs that do it better. Downloading music is really niche nowadays.

I'd appreciate even the most minimal UI method of getting a youtube url (which, I suppose, is already available since the track is playing?). and then I'd just use yt-dlp externally. please consider 😇

and the 9s problem is fixed in 1.41.3. thank you 🙏
