fix: check each locked album password instead of reusing the cached r… - #1691
a wrong password now just shows the error and never opens the album. The correct password then unlocks it straight after a wrong attempt.
Additional Notes:
The album images query in AlbumDetail was cached under ['album-images', albumId], so every unlock attempt shared one cache entry regardless of the password:
Changes:
Add password to the query key, so each attempt has its own cache entry.
Set retry: false on this query, since a wrong password always returns 401 and retrying only delays the error. This also means other failures on this query aren't retried, which seems fine for the local backend.

Walkthrough
The album-images query key now includes the password. Axios 401 responses stop retries, while other failures can retry until the failure count reaches two.
The change addresses incorrect cached password attempts and preserves transient-failure retries, with no remaining merge-blocking risk identified.

The title names a fix for locked-album password handling, which is the main change: the album-images query now includes the password in its key, so each attempt uses its own cache entry. The title is cut off mid-word ("cached r…"), which reduces clarity, but the core subject is still identifiable. The title is a short, single sentence and matches the changeset and linked issue #1662.

Explanation
Issue #1662 has one direct, open coding requirement: each unlock attempt must be checked against the password it entered, not against a cached result from an earlier attempt. The whole-PR diff (merge base to head) changes only frontend/src/pages/Album/AlbumDetail.tsx. The album-images query key changes from ['album-images', albumId] to ['album-images', albumId, password], so each password has its own cache entry. A wrong password no longer reuses data from an earlier successful unlock, and a correct password no longer reuses the error from an earlier wrong attempt. The new retry option returns false for Axios 401 responses, so a wrong password fails once and the existing error path runs (dialog 'Failed to load album images' and navigation to /albums). The error path is otherwise unchanged. The issue does not request an automated test, so the absence of one is not a failed requirement. This head changed the retry policy since the previous review. The previous assessment assumed retry: false for all failures. The current code retries non-401 failures up to two times. This does not affect the issue requirement, because the requirement concerns wrong-password handling. Remaining uncertainty: the behavior was not run in a browser. The conclusion rests on code reading, react-query key semantics, and the PR recording.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The whole-PR diff changes only the album-images useQuery options in AlbumDetail.tsx. It adds the password to the query key, adds the Axios import needed by the new retry function (axios is listed in frontend/package.json dependencies), and adds a conditional retry function. The retry function returns false for HTTP 401 and allows up to two retries for other failures. Both changes address the cache-sharing and retry-after-401 behavior described in #1662. The current code does not match the PR description, which says retry: false applies to all failures. It matches the commit message 'keep retrying album images on non-auth failures'. The description is stale, but the current code keeps retries for non-auth failures. This narrows the side effect that the previous assessment accepted. No unrelated file or behavior change appears in the diff.

A rabbit checks the password trail, Each query keeps its own cache tale. A 401 ends retries fast, Other failures get tries that last. The album waits for answers true, Then opens with the right clue.
