perf(moss): use optional fused SiTU activation - #2210
When compatible ggml headers advertise GGML_HAS_SITU and the selected backend supports it, MOSS uses the F32 SiTU operator. Older headers, upstream mode and unsupported backends retain the composite activation. The application changes and submodule pin are unchanged.
Acceleration now depends only on the focused basic SiTU backend PR, extracted from the broader leejet/ggml#16. Q8 packing is a separate follow-up, with an independent measurement below. Backend acceptance remains a prerequisite for this application PR.
Review context
This is the SiTU application split of #2201. The backend extraction and fresh measurements address leejet's request. The earlier 16.025 to 14.54 s comparison used the full companion backend and is superseded for attributing SiTU's benefit by the isolated comparison below.

The basic operator reduced generation time by 7.17% in these samples. Packing added 1.24% relative to the operator alone; combined reduction was 8.32%. Normalization, RoPE, copy and Flash Attention changes from the broad companion backend were excluded. Two timed runs per build do not establish statistical confidence.

Auto-fit and ordinary Flash Attention enabled; SageAttention, CUDA Graphs, profiling and conditioning cache disabled.
Two fresh server processes per stage, each with one warmup and one timed image. All stages ran serially without compilation or tensor fixtures during image timings. Native generation excludes startup and HTTP/PNG transfer; step time is sampling duration / 10. Device-wide VRAM was sampled every 100 ms. Clocks and power settings were unchanged.
All 12 generated images, including warmups, exactly match the original decoded RGB bytes: zero changed pixels and zero maximum channel error. The backend checks include 18 CPU and 18 CUDA operator cases, 39 local composite comparisons, 14 packing tensor comparisons, and zero packing-fixture Compute Sanitizer errors. No new other-GPU, Vulkan image, multi-GPU, image-offload or full regression testing is claimed.

MOSS SiTU now uses native GGML SiTU operations when the build and selected backend support them. The existing tanh/sigmoid path remains as a fallback. Text and image blocks pass runner context, and documentation describes the selection conditions.

Summary
SiTU helper and activation behavior src/model/diffusion/moss_image.hpp, docs/moss_image.md
MOSSImage::situ accepts runner context and uses native split SiTU when supported. Otherwise, it retains the tanh/sigmoid implementation. The documentation describes the conditions for native and fallback behavior.
TextBlock::forward passes runner context to situ. Block::forward attempts fused SITU GLU when supported and otherwise applies situ to the tensor slices.
leejet/stable-diffusion.cpp#2201: Changes the same MOSSImage::situ helper and native SiTU selection path. The PR description identifies this change as an application-only split of that PR.

Pass false so the fused GLU preserves the fallback ordering.
When the fused path is selected, ggml_glu(c, up_gate, GGML_GLU_OP_SITU, true) swaps the two halves. The fallback passes the first half as hidden and the second half as gate, so this call can produce incorrect SiTU results on supported fused backends.
Suggested fix
- auto activation = ggml_glu(c, up_gate, GGML_GLU_OP_SITU, true);+ auto activation = ggml_glu(c, up_gate, GGML_GLU_OP_SITU, false);

Use dimensions divisible by 16. The default discrete scheduler uses the upstream time shift of 5. Use `--flow-shift` to override it. The negative CFG branch skips DiT layer 22 (zero-based), matching the upstream pipeline.
Thanks for splitting the application changes and adding separate measurements. The remaining concern is the backend dependency: leejet/ggml#16 still bundles several independent optimizations.
For this PR, please first extract the basic SiTU operator support into a focused backend PR, separate from SiTU-to-Q8 packing fusion and the unrelated normalization, RoPE, copy, and Flash Attention changes. The current 16.025 → 14.54 s comparison enables SiTU against the full companion backend, so it does not distinguish the benefit of the SiTU operator itself from the additional fusion it activates.
Please measure those changes independently, or incrementally where they depend on one another, with repeated timings and relevant correctness checks. I would also prefer broadly applicable backend changes to be submitted to upstream llama.cpp wherever practical, to minimize long-term maintenance in our fork.
I’d like to hold this PR until its required backend support can be reviewed and accepted independently.
