[Bug] Copilot session history: Unknown location and current_datetime in titles #30985
Copilot sessions appear under "Unknown location" in Agent Session History, even when launched from a valid Orca worktree.
The Copilot events.jsonl already contains:
session.start.data.context.cwd
session.start.data.context.gitRoot
session.start.data.context.branch
However, the Copilot session parser appears to ignore these fields and relies on a session.info message saying that a folder was added to trusted folders. This message is not emitted for every session.
Expected: use context.cwd to associate sessions with their workspace, falling back to context.gitRoot when appropriate.
Some Copilot session titles start with:
<current_datetime>2026-10-19T18:40:06.682-03:00</current_datetime>
The parser appears to prefer user.message.data.transformedContent over data.content. The transformed text includes injected context, while content contains the original user prompt.
Expected: display the original prompt as the session title, without injected metadata.
These causes were identified through source inspection. Proposed local changes and regression tests exist, but have NOT been executed or validated.
Please consider fixing both issues in an official release so existing Copilot histories can display correctly without users modifying their JSONL transcripts.
