Why
The upcoming Basic Memory 1.0 MCP surface changes tool names, arguments, return shapes and refusal behavior. Current guides need to teach those contracts consistently.
What Changed
Implementation Details
Reference pages identify the surface as upcoming 1.0. Historical release documentation, actual CLI commands and separately advertised hosted extensions retain their existing contracts. No release version or deployment configuration is changed.
Testing
PATH=/Users/phernandez/.nvm/versions/node/v24.22.1/bin:$PATH npm ci: passed.PATH=/Users/phernandez/.nvm/versions/node/v24.22.1/bin:$PATH npm run build: passed.git diff --check: passed.Risks / Follow-ups
Publish alongside the new tool surface. This PR does not deploy the site or change historical release pages. Node 24 was used because Node 26 failed the native SQLite dependency build.
